Structural issues - consultation

This a large beautiful Victorian House that has been converted into 7 single room apartments as a company title. The board had been advised by an Engineer that Underpinning was required to shore up specific foundations. We were asked to investigate the issue further by working with trades specializing in foundations and engineers.

THE RESULT:

  • Re-assessed issues on-site with our Underpinning trade to determine best solution.

  • Sourced and consulted on site with foundation resin injection/grout technology providers.

  • Assessment of potential stormwater/sewerage issues based on feedback from all on-site visits by trades and a second engineers report.

  • At this stage, the following steps have been put in place:

    1.      Plumbers to install access points – CCTV assessment of stormwater & sewerage pipes.

    2.      Repair/re-line/replace damaged pipes.

    3.      Resin injection to raise/settle building if required.

  • A significant saving to the building fund by providing a 3-step approach that is assessed to determine effectiveness at each step.

Our building is experiencing movement in some of the foundations, and we received an Engineers Report advising of a solution.  Before moving forward, we asked David to investigate the issue further with his network of trades and consultants to confirm next steps. Based on Davids advise we have made significant savings to date with his suggested a 3- step solution to provide the best result. He has worked diligently on this task and has kept us informed along the way.
